Welcome to my parlor!
I have developed an unconventional method for recorder instruction titled The Melodic Message which is aimed at groups of children from starting at 8 years of age, but may also include adults who want to learn how to read music.
In these times of louder and louder "music" with ever more emphasis on electronics, recorder teachers need all the allies they can find.
Therefore I have sought to serve the interests of as many people as possible by basing my method on easily playable and proven masterpieces - church hymns and Christmas songs. Thus the children are guaranteed audiences and learn though playing first rate music.
I take the 4 voices (SATB) almost unchanged from standard collections and then add a t least 1 descant, and then have the children play all voices, if their hands are big enough for the tenor and bass.
I have also discovered a trick for quickly integrating beginning or non music readers into the group by numbering the notes of an enlarged score and putting a fingering diagram for each note in the song at the bottom.

He desarrollado un método para enseñar flauta dulce titulado The Melodic Message está dirigido a grupos de niños desde 8 años, pero adultos che quieren aprender a leer partituras de musica pueden aprovechar tambien. En esta época de "música" cada vez más fuerte, con cada vez más énfasis en la electrónica, los profesores de flauta dulce necesitan todos los aliados que puedan encontrar. Por este motivo, he intentado cubrir los intereses de la mayor cantidad de gente posible, basando mi método en piezas maestras fáciles de tocar: himnos de iglesia y canciones de Navidad. Así, los niños tienen un público garantizado, y aprenderán a tocar música de primera calidad. Tomo casi inalteradas las cuatro voces (SATB) de colecciones estandar y añado al menos una voz más (el descanto). Los niños tocan todas las voces, se sus manos tienen el tamaño sufficiente. También he descubierto un truco para integrar rápidamente a los alumnos que no leen música o están empezando, numerando las notas de una partitura ampliada y colocando debajo un diagrama de digitaciones para cada nota. Ho sviluppato un metodo intitolato The Melodic Message per l'insegnamento del flauto dolce, mirato a gruppi di giovani da ca. 8 di età.  In questi tempi di "musica" sempre più forte, con sempre più enfasi sull'elettronica, l'insegnante di flauto dolce ha bisogno di tutti gli alleati che può trovare. Perciò ho cercato di combinare gli interessi di più gente possibile, basando il mio metodo su capolavori facili a suonare e provati nel tempo: inni di chiese e canzoni di natale, per garantire agli allievi un pubblico.  Prendo le 4 voci (SATB) da raccolte standard e poi aggiungo almeno 1 voce (descante) in più. Ho scoperto anche un barbatrucco per integrare rapidamente i non lettori della musica quasi subito nel gruppo, numerando le note e mettendo un diagramma di diteggiatura per ciascuna nota in fondo allo spartito ingrandito delle canzoni. Pfeifen wir auf die Welt!
Ich habe für Kinder im Alter ab etwa 8 Jahren eine Methode mit dem Titel The Melodic Message für den Blockflötenunterricht entwickelt. Erwachsene, die lernen wollen, Partituren zu lesen, könnten auch daran teilnehmen. In diesen Zeiten der immer lautstarkeren "Musik" und mit zunehmendem Durchgreifen der Elektronik brauchen die Blockflötenlehrer Schützenhilfe. Deshalb habe ich die Interessen von möglichst vielen Leuten berücksichtigen wollen, indem ich meine Methode auf leicht zu spielenden Meisterwerken - Kirchen- und Weihnachtsliedern - basiert habe, damit die Schüler zu Weihnachten und Ostern garantiert auftreten können. Ich entnehme die 4 Hauptstimmen (SATB) den Standard-Gesangbüchern und füge eine Diskantstimme hinzu. Ich habe auch einen Kniff entwickelt, um Nichtnotenleser schnell in die Gruppe zu integrieren, indem ich die Noten einer vergrößerten Partitur numeriere und unten auf dem Blatt eine Reihe von entsprechend numerierten Griffdiagrammen für jede Note zeichne. J'ai développé une méthode intitulée The Melodic Message pour l'enseignement de la flûte bec aux groupes de jeunes à partir de 8 ans. Pour garantir aux élèves la possibilité de se présenter à un public, je base ma méthode sur des chefs d'oeuvres faciles à jouer - les chansons de Noël et les cantiques d'église. Je reprends les 4 voix (SATB) des collections standard et y ajoute au moins une voix de plus. J'ai aussi trouvé un truc pour intégrer rapidement dans le groupe les débutants qui ne savent pas lire la musique: Je numérote les notes et mets en bas de la partition pour chaque note un diagramme de doigté. Komt U mijn kamertje binnen!
Ik heb een handleiding geschreven voor ensembles van jonge blokfluitisten met de titel The Melodic Message. Om de kinderen de zekerheid te bieden op te treden heb ik mijn methode op gemakkelijk te spelen meesterwerken - kerst- en andere kerkliederen - gebaseerd. Ik neem de vier stemmen (SATB) bijna onveranderd van de oorspronkelijke versie over en voeg tenminste één bovenstem toe. Ik heb ook een truc gevonden om leerlingen die geen noten lezen bijna meteen in de groep te integreren. Ik geef de noten volgnummers die corresponderen met een reeks van grepentabellen die onder aan de bladzijde is afgedrukt. Ga verder om het titelblad, de inhoudsopgave (met daar op volgende volledige tekst), 4 voorbeelden van partituren en een verhandeling over mijn grepentabellen te zien. Voor andere inlichtingen over de heele boek met 28 partituren mag U mij  raadplegen.
